Our Lady of Good Success

Dear Tradition in Action Representative,

I am an undergraduate student currently studying at St. Louis University, and I was interested in learning more about Our Lady of Good Success and Fr. Pereira’s “The Admirable Life of Mother Mariana” in particular.

Is there any way you might know of to access the original manuscript of Fr. Pereira’s work, or the earliest copy available? To be quite honest, I am looking to find any written sources that will verify that there is a published version of this work, or any of the prophecies of Our Lady of Good Success given to us through Mother Mariana, available before the pontificate of Blessed Pope Pius IX.

Any help or further information on this topic would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.

     Respectfully yours,

     R.B.

"Marines and the thief

Assailant suffers injuries from fall

Orville Smith, a store manager for Best Buy in Augusta, Ga., told police he observed a male customer, later identified as Tyronne Jackson of Augusta, on surveillance cameras putting a laptop computer under his jacket. When confronted. the man became irate, knocked down an employee, drew a knife and ran for the door.

Outside on the sidewalk were four Marines collecting toys for the Toys for Tots program. Smith said the Marines stopped the man, but he stabbed one of the Marines, Cpt. Philip Duggan, in the back; the injury did not appear to be severe.

After Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene Cpt Duggan was transported for treatment.

"The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw ...injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off of the curb after stabbing the Marine," according to a police report.

Bishop Williamson’s Opinion on Women

Hello,

Regarding your refutation posted here.

I wanted to say that Bishop Williamson was speaking in the present tense regarding University.

He answered my question when I asked, “Did Pius X say that women should not sing in Church?” He answered with a question, “Why did Pius X say that women shouldn’t sing in Church?”

In his lecture, he said, “Authority does not fit the woman...with exceptions that you don’t want to emphasize because you want to establish the rule.” You’ll also notice, that he’s speaking about the modern world here, not the world of the Middle Ages, or the pre-industrialized world. He blames the men for the problems of today for the problem of women taking over authoritative positions.

“You have to walk on tiptoes on this subject, but what it means is that, ‘Reason is not the privilege of women....’ What is the privilege of women is feeling. Feeling and intuition. Emotions of the heart.” “Don’t let women go to these wretched universities of today, in general, and don’t even let your boys go! Because the universities of today will make mincemeat out of your children’s faith, and even their common sense.”

“The main problem of women today, is the menfolk.”

“When a man misbehaves, the roof blows off the house. When a woman misbehaves, the very foundations shake...”To begin with in the modern world, the men blew off and the women held. You can see that in the literature of the 19th century, it’s very interesting. And then finally in the twentieth century, the women said, ‘Look, if the men are going to go on misbehaving; if the men are going to go on refusing God; if the men refuse Our Lord Jesus Christ, why should we women not refuse our men? If the men turn away from Our Lord, why should the women go on obeying the men?’“

To state that his opinion is so rigorous does not do him justice. I encourage you to view his lecture. Perhaps you could post a transcript for the rest of TIA to read.

I’ve been an avid reader, and a defender of some of your unpopular opinions in the past. Bishop Williamson’s opinion is spot on, in my humble opinion.

God bless you and your work.

     Warm regards,

     L.M.

Exposing Judaism, the Talmud & Zionism

Dear madam/ sir,

My name is R.W. and I am from the Netherlands.

A few years ago we had contact when I shared my coming home to the Catholic Church from being an ex-Calvinist. You send me kindly some of your excellent books, which were very helpful.

I have a question: Do you have any plans to write on the subject of Judaism/ Talmud and Zionism and its relationship to the Catholic Church?

The Church was from the beginning very clear in her opposition against Judaism (not the Jews personally, but as believers in the false Messiah). I have personally experienced that at the moment when I started to criticize Judaism, Talmud and Zionist people begin to attack me saying that I am a anti-Semite.

The modern Catholic Church also changed her view towards Judaism from her initial  opposition. So I am really hoping that through your ministry and writings (especially in a book) you would expose Judaism/ Talmud and Zionism, comparing them with the teachings and traditions of the Church

I really hope to hear from you, and I send my sincere thanks for you all.

Pax Christi,

R.W., the Netherlands

TIA responds:

Dear R.W.,

We remember your coming to the Catholic Church and still thank Our Lady for it.

TIA has published a long analysis by Mr. Guimarães on the visit of John Paul II to the synagogue of Rome. In that study he shows how the attitude of the conciliar Popes approving the Jews and Judaism opposes the bi-millennial teaching of the Catholic Church condemning them. You may read it here.

Second, Guimarães also made a public challenge to 171 rabbis and Jewish scholars - who were asking the Catholic Church to ask forgiveness from the Jews - to ask forgiveness for the shocking offenses of the Talmud against Christians, which he exposes in a booklet that you may purchase here. To date no direct answer has been given to that public challenge.

Third, the only indirect answer to that challenge was to include TIA on what a Jewish-inspired association - the Southern Poverty Law Center - called the “Dirty Dozen,” which was meant to refer to 12 American associations that do not fear to combat the errors of the Jewish religion. The SPLC accused those associations of being anti-Semitic.

A rebuttal to that attack was written by Mr. Guimarães showing that Catholic opposition to Judaism is religious and not racial and, therefore, cannot be classified as anti-Semitic, a term that applies to the Nazi persecutions against Jews for racial motives. You may find good arguments to show your friends that you are not anti-Semitic by repeating what the Church always taught. That article may be read here.

Fourth, a due refutation of the progressivist arguments favoring the Jews is made by Guimarães as he analyzes a document by the Pontifical Biblical Commission, an official organ of the Holy See. This document, issued with the approval of Card. Joseph Ratzinger, recommends that Catholics accept the errors of Judaism, in frontal opposition to the previous Magisterium of the Church. Such an analysis was published by TIA in the form of a booklet with the title The Biblical Commission on the Jews: Changes in Doctrine and New Anathemas, and may be purchased here.

Fifth, we also note that Volume III of the Atila Guimaraes' Collection titled, Animus Injuriandi-II [Desire to Offend] includes an exposition of eulogies and homages made to the Jews by post-conciliar Popes and theologians, in opposition to the prior teaching of the Church.

Sixth, the same author is preparing a detailed book review of the important work Bloody Passovers by Ariel Toaff, a Jewish scholar, published in 2007. This book proves that some branches of Judaism actually committed the crimes traditionally attributed to them, such as the ritual crucifixion of Catholic boys in order to reaffirm the outrages the Jews made against Our Lord Jesus Christ. The first edition of Bloody Passovers was banned and taken off the shelves by the Jewish media powers. A second edition, duly softened by Toaff, is now being sold at request. The book review in progress is of that forbidden, more truthful first edition.

We hope that this material we have already published can assist you, and the review to be posted will help you still more.
