Annulment Advice

TIA,

Yours was an excellent advice to DZ to not get an annulment. I totally agree with you.

I was in a similar situation and opted to remain in my marriage. It was a great decision. I would add that some things that seem negative are blessings in disguise. Trust that God has you and your family's best interest at heart.

I am so glad I stayed, even though it was very tempting to leave. I thank God for that decision.

I concur with your advice; I also would say to DZ: I hope you reconsider your separation and choose to remain married to your children's father.

     God bless.

Che Bergoglio

TIA,

In reference to the photo of the week, "Pope" Francis depicted as a communist is an echo of an aphorism - a picture is worth a thousand words.

Unfortunately, the Vatican's going soft on Communism goes back a long way. As a Cardinal, Pacelli in the 1930's got Fr. Coughlin off the radio, he was exposing Communism then; as for Pope Pius Xll, he backed off his threat to excommunicate those in Italy who voted for outright communists. John XXlll had his picture displayed in many Marxists homes, too.

As for Francis l, those who claim he is an Anti-Pope have more than enough to go on. The late Rev. Fr. John O'Connor said: that, with Vatican ll and its aftermath, the Church was and is being punished.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Catholic Culture's Review

Dear TIA,

Here is CatholicCulture.org’s website review of Tradition in Action.

Do you care to defend TIA from any of these false statements?

And how would TIA generally review Catholic Culture’s website?

     Thank you, TIA.

TIA responds:

Dear G.A.,

Catholic Culture website is run by the same ones behind Catholic World News (CWNews.com) and has straight links with EWTN. They advertise Catholic Answers run by the followers of Karl Keating. These organizations represent the conservative middle-of-the-road Catholic, duly approved and supported by the Bishops.

In other words, they and those who work for them fully accept Vatican II and the New Mass. They care little about comparing the conciliar and post-conciliar doctrinal and liturgical innovations with the previous teachings and traditions of the Church. They fear to do this, because they sense they cannot explain the countless contradictions.

They understand fidelity to Peter as an almost blind obedience to the ruling Pontiff, be he John Paul II, Benedict XVI or Francis I. They have to abhor the position of resistance TIA takes regarding the conciliar Popes. When they are obliged to make some criticism of the present-day Pope, they ask one or two of their writers to express a few prudent restrictions regarding the most scandalous excesses of Francis on marriage.

Like all middle-of-the-roaders, they condemn coherent positions, which draw the final consequences of the accepted principles. They are neither hot nor cold. It is a type of person who in History never takes the party of heroism, but rather that of "good sense" and "normality." They would have applauded the condemnation of Christ – that disruptive "extremist" – to please the High Priest and the Jewish religious establishment. Dante placed them outside of Hell, because they always refused to take a consistent position in the face of evil: "Non ragioniam di loro, ma guarda e passa" (Let us not talk of them, just look and pass).

They accuse TIA of being a danger to the faith because they detest our consistency. However, they disguise this opposition under the pretext that we ridicule the Popes in some comments of pictures. They fail, however, to face the basic problem: Are the Popes in those pictures not ridiculing themselves and degrading the sacred mission they received? If they are, why don't the writers for Catholic Culture have the courage and honesty to say so? When Francis is pictured with a red clown nose, who is wrong: the Pope or the Catholic who criticizes him as a buffoon? They don't answer this question because it would break the fragile equilibrium of their pretentious fidelity.

They also blame TIA for lack of respect for calling the recent Popes: Pope Wojtyla, Pope Ratzinger and Pope Bergoglio. We had to smile when we read this "tragic" accusation. If they were able to read in Italian L'Osservatore Romano or other Vatican news sources, they would be surprised to see that these press organs – symbols of the ecclesiastical establishment – often use the same titles as we do. It is picturesque to find a touch of provincialism in a group that pretends to be very scholarly.

So, dear G.A., here you have the appraisal of Catholic Culture you requested.

     Cordially,

     TIA correspondence desk

Pope Urges Fewer Children

Dear TIA,

I am a faithful and thankful reader of TIA...

I am not sure if you have seen this. It seems so strange that the Pope would recommend us to have fewer children, since we were always taught to be open to children and families. Please, read here.

Hope all is well with you and your families this Lent.

Peru Rejects Gender Agenda

Dear TIA,

The good news is that last weekend Peru went to the streets to protest against a government decree imposing gender education in the schools.

More than 1.5 million people manifested under the motto “hands off my children.” The demonstration took place in Lima and many other cities. The government, which has a weak minority in the Congress, runs the risk of not only losing this battle, but also of being put out of the picture.

Some photos follow.

Read more in the blog Eponymous Flower.

     Keep up the good work.

Good Scientific News

TIA,

I'm not sure you have seen this news report telling us that science confirms life starts at the moment of the fertilization.

It is a reason more to combat abortion.

Secret Signals

Dear TIA,

After watching President Trump's address to Congress and watching his hand "signals", I must say they are too vague to conclude anything about them being possibly of a Freemason nature, in my opinion.

Also, someone told me that the anti-globalists have been working very hard to take over those groups that are despotic and have succeeded. He predicted months ago that this would become public during a large political event very soon.

Of course, we who have been persecuted by globalists are always wary; however, President Trump seems to be doing the right thing and all one can do is judge by one's actions.

It is possible they are secret signs, however, if this "someone" was right, they could be signaling "We made it!" to the anti-globalists!

So, I continue to pray and watch and support what is good. I pray everyone continues to pray vigilantly, especially during this 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima, as many fear a terrible retribution. like what occurred during the French Revolution when the French did not listen to Our Lady's request 100 years before.

     Blessings,

     E.H.

Pope Trashes Marriage

TIA,

According to the news report below, Bergoglio urges priests to ‘welcome’ co-habitating couples in the ‘style of the Gospel’ - translation: Jorge sees no problem welcoming Mortal Sin as acceptable in the Church.

Last that I saw, Jorge, the 'style of the Gospel' is very clear about Mortal Sin as Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, pulled no punches about it in the New Testament!

Nothing like telling your priests to be fellow travelers on the road to hell, right Jorge?

Make no mistake about it here. What Bergoglio is doing is TRASHING the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony that can now be discarded at the whim of those who have no use for it - with priests being encouraged to support this abomination before God!

Catholics in more that name only MUST RESIST Jorge Bergoglio TO HIS FACE and all of his minions for the sake of their eternity!

      Gary Morella

ROME, February 27, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) - Pope Francis urged parish priests participating in a Vatican-run course titled the “New Marriage Procedure” to “welcome” cohabitating couples living in fornication who “prefer to live together without getting married.” The pope did not ask priests to admonish such couples for living in grave sin nor did he ask them to work for their conversion and repentance.

“At the same time, make yourselves close with the style of the Gospel itself, in the encounter and welcome of those young people that prefer living together without getting married,” he told priests at the Saturday, February 25 event organized by the Roma Rota, the Vatican’s highest ecclesiastical court.

“On the spiritual and moral plane, they are among the poor and the little ones, toward whom the Church, following in the footsteps of her Teacher and Lord, wants to be a Mother that does not abandon but comes close and takes care. These persons are also loved by Christ’s heart. This care of the last, precisely because it emanates from the Gospel, is an essential part of your work of promotion and defense of the Sacrament of Marriage,” he added.
