Mystery Schools & Centers of Light
Dr. Jean Houston is a scholar and researcher of the human potentials movement, which focuses on the understanding latent human abilities. For the past 30 years she has co-directed with her husband Dr. Robert Master, the Foundation for Mind Research in New York. She is the founder of the Mystery School – a program of mythic and spiritual studies with seminars and training available for supposed seekers of knowledge and spirituality.
Dr. Houston was a protégé of the late anthropologist Margaret Mead, who instructed her in the workings of organizations and power structures in many cultures. Two weeks before she died in 1978, Mead told her disciple Houston to forget working with governments and bureaucracies.
Houston, right, served as advisor to the Dalai Lama, 2 Presidents, 3 First Ladies and other world leaders
"The world is going to change so fast that people and governments will not be prepared to be stewards of this change," Mead told her. So, with the late mythologist Joseph Campbell, Houston has concentrated on leading seminars and workshops aimed at understanding inter-relationships between ancient myths and modern societies.
The Mystery School is the way, Houston claims, of honoring ancient spiritual schools around the world and across History where women and men gathered to explore and decipher “the great mysteries and their resonance and application so they can live more freely and fully.” The primary focus of these sessions are the "mind games" devised by Houston — exercises designed to move participants to lose their inhibitions and begin to use untapped sources of creativity to tackle their problems — and the world's.
When she and Joseph Campbell led seminars together, Campbell lectured and told stories of the great myths and the gods and Houston led the students in exercises so that they could experience these myths and realities within themselves. Some report experiencing visions during or after their sessions with Houston. Others offer less-dramatic but mostly decisive testimony of a potent force behind Houston's technique.
Centers of light
These workshops and seminars constitute Houston’s major impact. She has conducted these sessions around the world, for groups ranging from spiritual seekers to IBM executives to the United Nations officials. Houston also was a spiritual advisor to Hilary Clinton in the 1990s and used her methods to “help her tap into her own inner wisdom” and the spirit world.
Mystery Schools are the "points of light" referred to by former President George H. W. Bush during his State of the Union Address. (January 29, 1991). He told the nation that the goal of his administration must be “the illumination of mankind … by a thousand points of light.”
This biography reveals Hillary's seances with Jean Houston
Earlier in the 20th century, Alice Bailey introduced the idea of “points of Light” and “light groups” to channel the “higher spiritual forces” necessary to build the New Age, and to form what is known in their jargon as a “group soul.” Today there are many such groups that are working in a highly organized way toward bringing in the future “golden age” on earth…
These “centers of light,” as they are known, act as schools of psychic training to encourage the widespread practice of channeling, that is, of allowing spiritual entities living elsewhere to become active among men.
The “centers of light” are acting very much in the mold of the mystery schools, providing nerve centers that channel in transmissions from spiritual entities in other dimensions. From there, they can radiate them out into the world. One can picture these entities as powerful satellite stations strategically placed around the globe, through which the latest messages to the world from the “ascended masters” and other “discarnate beings” or “spirits” are “beamed in” and then actively disseminated through further psychic communication, literature, lectures and workshops’ on an international basis.
The dawn of a New Humanity
Many prophecies foretell a time where there will be a proliferation of mystery schools where demons will teach mankind occult knowledge.
St. Paul warned us of this kind of toxic teachings: "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils."(I Timothy 4:1)
Ancient gods and symbols used to channel devils among men; below, Houston demonstrating one of her methods to channelling
Mystery schools in fact teach occult enlightenment to select groups through the use of visualization, symbols and mind control substances, training what they call the higher consciousness of humanity. They teach the use of symbols because symbols reflect a divine idea of the Creator.
Doctrine of devils
These are some conclusions from my reading on these mystery schools:
•The Antichrist will teach mankind Gnosis.
“And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up” (Dan. 8:23).
• The ultimate purpose of mystery schools is the evolution of man into superman via demonic possession, along with the seduction that he will become omniscient.
The pioneer of the altered attitude to education was Maria Montessori, whose vision of a race of super-children bordered on the apocalyptic. The outcome is the New Child, a superior being, giving promise of a New Humanity, with unsuspected powers of mind and spirit.
This understanding of Montessori was confirmed in the address of Robert Muller at the “Seeking the True Meaning of Peace Conference," in June 1989. He affirmed: “We need the cosmic education foreseen by the [mystery] religions and by people like Maria Montessori.”
I have been exposed to this doctrine of devils in my own family, and so I do not doubt for a moment that they are spreading today. I feel that Catholics today have certain similarities with those back in the first century, when holding to the Faith cost everything for them. Thus Scripture warns us about Satan with cautions such as, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”(1 Peter 5:8).
What will give us the strength to endure is a life of prayer, self-denial and dependence on Our Lady. Also we need to be aware that this is a program of the Devil. Helping Catholics to understand what is going on is a major purpose of this article.
