JPII sends Icon of Kazan to Moscow
Religious Indifferentism - Picture 5 - August 28, 2004
Cardinal Walter Kasper, acting as official representative of John Paul II, meets Alexis II, Russian "orthodox" patriarch, to deliver the holy Icon of Our Lady of
Kazan.
The day before, Alexis II gave an interview to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera in which he condemned the Catholic Church and renewed his criticisms of the Holy See. Another spectacular failure of ecumenism.
Below, JPII exposes the Icon before its departure for Moscow.
