Pope Benedict XVI wearing Sombrero 01

Pope Ratzinger's sombreros
During two different audiences in the Paul VI Room at the Vatican, Benedict XVI tries on Mexican sombreros offered by pilgrim couples.

Today we are seeing a new style of Papacy that is no longer concerned with representing Our Lord Jesus Christ, but with amusing the people. It is an implicit way to deny the monarchical character of the Papacy and present it as democratic.
