Outrageous liturgical dance continues
The photo and gifs on this page show the offensive liturgical dance performed at St. Patrick's Church in Seattle, WA. It was executed by Betsy Becknam, in white, and the troupe from her group, The Dancing Word.The play presented the Exodus of the Jews from Egypt and the crossing of the Red Sea. Independent of an evaluation of the artistic skill expressing that historical episode, what counts here is the grave impropriety of having women dancing inside a church and before the altar.
After the theatrical piece, St. Patrick's Church was closed and its parish was merged with St. Joseph's Church, also in Seattle.
The same wrongdoings continue since the Beckman's troupe performs her dances there, with the full support of its Jesuit priests, as can be seen here, here and here.
It is an abuse of sacred places that has become so entrenched in the Conciliar Church that only the Chastisement can stop it...
