The Psalmist, whose son Absalom was plotting to kill him, writes in a prophetic way to foretell the suffering and abandonment of Our Lord during His agony in the Garden of Olives. Here Our Lord Jesus Christ appeals to His Father for help. Zelus domus tuae is the first nocturne of Tenebrae for Maundy Thursday. It is here sung by the Schola Antiqua.
