What People Are Commenting
A Suspicious Consensus
Dear TIA,
Here is an important notice regarding the March for Life.
Are they now trying for a "consensus" on abortion rather than its elimination?

Note from Coalition for Life
Dear Fellow Pro-lifers,
Please take a look at the website of March for Life Action here. (Excerpt follows below in blue)
America has consensus. A pro-life consensus
8 in 10 Americans believe that abortion should have real, legal limits. Even 6 out of 10 pro-choice Americans agree that abortion should happen only during the first three months of pregnancy, at most. Furthermore, almost 2/3rds of Americans oppose tax dollars paying for abortion.
Yet most pro-choice politicians support the extreme position that abortion should be legal right up until birth. And, they want Americans to pay for abortion with our tax dollars. It’s time for this extremism to end. It’s time for politicians to stop listening to the pro-abortion lobby, and join the national consensus.
March for Life Action is an affiliate of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund established years ago by Nellie Gray. March for Life has always stood for a Mandatory Human Life Amendment - No exceptions.
So what’s this about “consensus”? Are we marching to “regulate” the killing of our unborn children? Is a “little killing” OK? Is that what pro-lifers have been working for, for 60 years?
This is one vast public relations nightmare! The “consensus” strategy is theologically, morally and politically bankrupt. Who in hell dreamed this “consensus” line up? Who paid for this anti-life scam?
Make your objections known right now! We prolifers are supposed to be Marching For Life for every unborn child not signing a death warrant for some unborn children not protect by a “consensus.”
“Consensus” is not a virtue. It’s a tool of the Devil. The March for Life needs to hear from you now! Before you March for LIFE. Call 202 234 3300.

Franciscan Blasphemous Card
TIA,
Re: Franciscans send a blasphemous Christmas card
This is totally unacceptable... Is this group in any way the same as the Franciscans who are at EWTN or a part of the Franciscans that the late Fr. Benedict Groeschel was a member.
Please respond.
Thank you.
B.M.
TIA responds:
B.M.,
As your can read here, most of Franciscans are represented by the Conference of the Franciscan Family (CFF), which is headed by the Ministers General of the First Orders, Third Order Regular (TOR), Secular Franciscan Order, and the President of the International Franciscan Conference of the Sisters and Brothers of the Third Order Regular (IFC-TOR).
Headed by the CFF, Franciscan International (FI), which put out the blasphemous Christmas Card depicting the Visitation as an encounter of Our Lady not with St. Elizabeth, but with the nude Pachamama, represents the Franciscan Family at the United Nations.
The Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word (MFVA) are not a part of FI. It is a Public Clerical Association of the Faithful, located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama. They were founded in 1987 by Mother Angelica, who also founded the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) and the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
Fr. Groeschel was part of a group of eight Capuchin friars who founded a religious order, the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. Their mission statement affirms the aim of working more definitively for personal and communal reform within the Catholic Church.
Both of these Orders are progressivist in that they defend Vatican II, champion the conciliar Popes, and say the Novus Ordo Mass. They are considered "conservative" next to the FI, which aims to serve humanity and promote the agenda of the UN.
Cordially,

Re: The Livingston Ghost
Prince Galitzin founded a Catholic town in Loretto, PA, in the western part of the State. Every citizen was a Catholic. This is a very Catholic area. The people there are trying to get him canonized.
My husband was from a little town called Twin Rocks, not far from Loretto. There is a Carmelite monastery close by, built by Charlie Schwab for his sister. We often visited the area.
The tomb of Prince Galitzin is there. He was Russian, but he gave up his fortune when he came to America to be a priest.
I wish I could remember more, perhaps someone still living there can help you out with the location.
