Desecrations, UFOs & Mutiny

Honoring Maria de Agreda

Dear TIA,

Sor Maria de Agreda died on Pentecost Sunday... May 24th, 1665, at 3pm - the hour of The Descent of the Holy Ghost, while the Sister's sang the Veni Creator Spiritus. Maria of Agreda, after saying "come, come, come," breathed her last earthly breath...

This coming Pentecost Sunday IS May 24th! the anniversary of Sor Maria de Agreda's Holy Death - 361 Years ago...

A suggestion for the Pentecost Novena, to be started the day after Ascension Thursday (this May14th), could be this novena prayer for the Intercession of the Holy Ghost and of Mother Maria de Agreda.

“Our Lord and our God, by the Power of the Holy Ghost on that first Pentecost Sunday, glorify on earth the Venerable Mother - Sister María de Jesús of Agreda. She helped us to discover the magnificent treasures of grace bestowed upon the Immaculate Mother of Thy Son. Let us, like Venerable Maria de Agreda, go into Jesus through Mary. We ask this by the Power of the Holy Ghost, on behalf of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, and by the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary - the Mystical City of God, and our Mother.”

     Amen.

Israeli Desecrations in Lebanon

Dear TIA,

The video below documents two Israeli soldiers desecrating statues of Our Lady and Our Lord while the Israeli army continues to destroy the south of Lebanon, repeating what it did in Gaza with the Palestinians.

It is incomprehensible that the local Catholic authorities did not make an official protest before the Israeli government characterizing these desecrations as acts of religious persecutions.

In any circumstance, I want to leave here my protest and invite Catholics, who are unable to take any other action, to make an act of reparation for such offenses.

You may watch the two profanations in the video below.

Smarts TVs Are Watching You

Dear TIA,

Salve Maria,

We are seeing more and more that surveillance is on the rise. Lately, Instagram announced that private messages on the Instagram app will no longer be end-to-end encrypted starting May 8 (today), which means that Instagram and potentially any other people or companies they associate with now will have access to all our private messages on Instagram.

Another proof of this mass surveillance: Smart TVs. Read this article by a former Google engineer exposing how Smart TVs are actually surveillance systems.

Leo Opposing Leo

Dear TIA,

In reading TIA's reply to my question regarding Leo XIV 's reason for choosing the name 'Leo', I find his partial reason a bit disingenuous.

I believe that Leo XIV is the polar opposite of Leo XIII. Leo XIII finalized the Church's decision after several centuries of off and on discussion regarding the validity of orders of Anglican priests and bishops, resulting as Leo XIII stated, they are invalid and he added, "The case is closed Rome has spoken".

Leo XIV welcomed with open arms the new female archbishop of Canterbury which openly rejects Pope Leo XIII and his proclamation so it seems quite odd that Leo XIV would have any admiration for Leo XIII.

UFOs’ Documents Released

TIA,

Since I know you follow what is related to UFOs, you should be interested in what the government just did: It released the classified documents regarding the topics.

There is a lot of speculation on this matter, and it will be interesting to see on what grounds they are based.

The report follows.

     G.L.

Trump administration releases first batch of formerly classified UFO files

Long-held documents will be stored on Pentagon website, available to public

Mike Glenn - The Washington Times - Friday, May 8, 2026
What to know
  • The Pentagon is releasing new UFO documents to the public.
  • This follows President Trump's order for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena declassification.
  • Several agencies, including NASA and the FBI, were involved in the release.
  • The documents will be available at War.GOV/UFO.
The Pentagon is releasing a never-before-seen cache of UFO documents so the public can examine evidence gathered on what the government refers to as unidentified anomalous phenomena.

The release of information, announced Friday, follows President Trump’s order to begin identifying and declassifying government files related to UAPs.

“No other president or administration in history has followed through on this level of UAP transparency,” Pentagon officials said.

Several agencies were involved in the process, including the White House, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, NASA and the FBI. The collection will be available for public examination at War.GOV/UFO. Additional files will be released by the Defense Department on a rolling basis, officials said.

Will SSPX’ Mutiny Continue?

Dear TIA,

Well, the expectation continues. Will SSPX come with a more reasonable proposal to Rome, or will it continue in its attempt to impose its own will on the Pope?

There is no doubt that Rome is “abandoning the Faith,” to employ an expression of Our Lady in La Salette.

However, this does not give us the right to mutiny. There are ways and ways to defend the good position. Resistance should not be confused with mutiny. Mutiny is a crime that is never justified.

Below a journalist offers and overview on the situation of Leo XIV, who is sandwiched between the radical Germans Bishops and the Argentinian head of SSPX.

Leo XIV and the Challenge of Tradition

ANALYSIS: Leo XIV finds himself caught between two sides, both particularly stubborn.

Andrea Gagliarducci Vatican May 5, 2026

The great goal of Leo XIV’s pontificate is to restore unity in the Church. The task, however, is particularly arduous. In short, it is something easier said than done.

The Pontiff’s comments to journalists en route with him to Rome from Africa illustrate the point.

Leo took a question regarding Cardinal Reinhard Marx’s decision to formally bless same-sex couples, and his answer drew many different reactions, both within Germany and from around the world. However, the one that came from the head of the German hierarchy is enlightening.

Archbishop Georg Bätzing of Limburg, who is finishing his term as president of the German Bishops’ Conference, simply stated that he will continue with this pastoral practice because he does not believe it creates disunity in the Church.

That may be a parting shot from a fellow who is on his way out and doesn’t much care, or it may be Bishop Bätzing basically daring the Pope to stop him.

We’ll see.

There is another challenge to unity looming, one that comes from the traditionalist world.

The Priestly Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) is preparing to celebrate its first episcopal ordinations since 1988.

The ordinations would be valid but not licit because they are without a pontifical mandate. One who consecrates a bishop without papal permission incurs excommunication latae sententiae, that is, for simply having committed the act.

That’s what happened to Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and the bishops he ordained in 1988, after which a formal decree of excommunication was drafted and published. …

The SSPX, for its part, believes that excommunication does not actually apply to the society, reasoning that canon law does not allow the imposition of the penalty if the act that would incur it is committed in response to a perceived grave danger to the Church, or if one believes one is acting in good faith.

That is technically true, but it is the same reasoning Archbishop Lefebvre used in 1988, when a papal decree declared that the ordinations had resulted in excommunication, an indisputable fact.

In recent weeks, the SSPX also published a lengthy interview with its superior, Father Davide Pagliarani, who reiterated the society’s sense of urgency and the need to ordain new bishops to ensure its survival.

In fact, the SSPX lacks a genuine desire to even engage in dialogue with the Holy See. In previous communications, it has been made clear that it considers many of the Holy See’s decisions or approaches to be borderline heretical, and, therefore, there can be no dialogue.

In short, Leo XIV finds himself caught between two sides, both particularly stubborn. …

The question to ask is simply this: Which side is Leo XIV on?

Last year, for example, it was surprising that Leo XIV sent a message of greeting to the Paris-Chartres pilgrimage, attended by thousands of mostly young people, all attached to the traditional rite, and the Pope said that he was praying for the participants. Later, the nuncio to England, Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía, announced that Leo had asked that exceptions be made, allowing bishops to extend the celebration of the traditional Latin Mass in their dioceses upon request.

In short, Leo XIV extended a hand to the traditional world, trying to overcome the attitude of clear closure that had characterized the latter years of Pope Francis’ pontificate.
