Bergoglio inaugurates Hindu centenary
On November 30, 2024. Pope Bergoglio inaugurated an interreligious conference organized by Sivagiri Madhom at the Vatican celebrating the centenary of "All Religious Conference" put together by Sree Narayana Guru in 1924.This man was a Hindu guru who fought against the caste system in India and preached religious tolerance for all.
Wrapped in a yellow Hindu shawl, Francis affirmed in his speech:
"All religions teach the fundamental truth that, as children of the unique God, we should love and honor one another, respect the diversity and the differences in a spirit of fraternity and inclusion, taking care of one another, as well as of the earth, our common home. ...
"Reaching the truth and the values we have in common, we can walk and work together to build a better humanity remaining firmly rooted upon our beliefs and convictions." (L'Osservatore Romano, December 5, 2024, Insert. p.II)
These principles have nothing to do with the Catholic Magisterium, which strongly condemned religious indifferentism and interreligious dialogue, but expresses well the doctrine of Freemasonry, with which Francis has so many affinities. (here, here, here, here, and here)
