Nun wins weightlifting medal
Sister Patricia Farrell is pictured above as she deadlifted 160 pounds (72.5kg); she also benched 77 pounds (nearly 35kg); both performances reached a total of 237 pounds (107kg). She was competing at the USA Powerlifting California Summer Open on July 19, 2025. She received a medal for winning her weight class.Farrell is a 72-year-old Dominican nun from the St. Rafael Convent in the San Francisco Bay Area. All the nuns of her Convent and her superiors approved her preparation for and participation in the competition.
The relaxation of religious life and the insertion of nuns into the world with all the abuses we are witnessing – such as this one of Sr. Farrell – are direct consequences of Vatican II.
What does this decades-long policy of adapting to the modern world have to do with the Catholic Church? Nothing. So, how can one not see that this a new religion?
