'Gay wife' receives Catholic Confirmation
The open homosexual Gio Benitez, an ABC anchor, received the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Manhattan, NYC. The sponsor was Benitez' "husband" Timmy DiDario. The ceremony took place on November 10, 2025.Co-celebrating the Sacrament were the parish pastor Fr. Eric Andrew, Fr. Paul Rospond and Fr. James Martin. It is another scandal that comes in the wake of Fiducia Supplicans, the Declaration of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith issued on December 2023 by Card. Victor Fernandez with the full support of Pope Francis.
Regardless of the many Episcopates throughout the entire world that have protested against such "blessings," the Vatican of Leo XIV continues to allow them. Bishop Joseph Strickland recently delivered his request to stop them at the US Bishops Conference, last row, to no avail.
Our only hope is God, Whom we beg to come and punish this religious officialization of a vice against nature which cries to Heaven for vengeance.
