Overt Indoctrination of Children for
Homosexual ‘Marriage’

The San Francisco Chronicle ran this photo on October 11, 2008, showing first-grade students from a local public grade school celebrating their teacher’s lesbian “wedding.” The Chronicle reports: “The 18 Creative Arts Charter School students took a Muni bus and walked a block at noon to toss rose petals and blow bubbles on their just-married teacher Erin Carder and her ‘wife’ Kerri McCoy, giggling and squealing as they mobbed their teacher with hugs.”
This “field trip” to cheer a homosexual “marriage” occurred just eight days after the Chronicle editorialized against the “fear tactics” used by pro-Proposition 8 forces in defending their amendment preserving marriage in California as between a man and a woman.
The newspaper had mocked a Prop 8 TV ad that warned of the adverse effects of legal “gay marriage.” It stated: “People would be sued on the basis of their personal beliefs! Churches would lose their tax-exempt status! Gay marriage would be taught in public schools!”

The troubling photo above certainly contradicts the Chronicle editorial’s assertion that, “public schools certainly would teach that same-sex marriage is legal and the history behind it. But the value judgments surrounding matters of marriage and family would remain in the domain of home and church as they are today.”
However, here we can already see the bad fruit of this new tolerance for homosexuality and lesbianism. This class of kindergarten children were all taken to this "wedding" as something normal and fun. The school’s principal justified the lesbian-wedding excursion as a “field trip” by describing it as a “teachable moment” for the young students, comparing same-sex marriage to civil rights issues. She added, "I think I'm well within the parameters."
The public school field trip demonstrates that the California Supreme Court’s decision to legal same-sex marriage has real consequences. "It's just utterly unreasonable that a public school field trip would be to a same-sex wedding," said Chip White, press secretary for the Yes on Proposition 8 campaign. "This is overt indoctrination of children who are too young to have an understanding of its purpose."
