Memorial Day, Biden & John XXIV

Honoring Those Who Die for Us

Dear TIA,

I am forwarding you some quotes in tribute of those who die for our country.

We owe them to be able to life in peace and honor, until the domestic enemies will not destroy us from within.

     L.M.
  • “The brave die never, though they sleep in dust: Their courage nerves a thousand living men.” – Minot J. Savage
  • “Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.” – Unknown
  • “This nation will remain the land of the free only as long as it is home of the brave.”
    Elmer Davis
  • “It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God such men lived.” – George S. Patton
  • “We don't know them all, but we owe them all.” – Unknown
  • “In the aftermath, we are because they were.” – RJ Heller

Keep the Hard Won Freedom

TIA,

It is Memorial Day Weekend 2021 A.D. when we honor the Fallen in our Wars since the Revolution. God bless and give rest to their souls!

Pray for them in Church. Remember their sacrifices for your freedom.

And above all, don't let anyone anywhere render their sacrifices to have been in vain by taking away that hard won freedom on battlefields foreign and domestic! We owe them that!

Watch video: The Minstrel Boy

The Minstrel Boy to the war is gone
In the ranks of death you will find him
His father's sword he hath girded on
And his wild harp slung behind him
"Land of Song!" said the warrior bard
"Tho' all the world betrays thee
One sword at least thy rights shall guard
One faithful harp shall praise thee!"

The Minstrel fell! But the foeman's chain
Could not bring that proud soul under
The harp he lov'd ne'er spoke again
For he tore its chords asunder
And said "No chains shall sully thee
Thou soul of love and brav'ry!
Thy songs were made for the pure and free
They shall never sound in slavery!"

"Land of Song!" said the warrior bard
"Tho' all the world betrays thee
One sword at least thy rights shall guard
One faithful harp shall praise thee!"

About Lay Celibacy/Virginity

Greetings TIA,

My name is A.P. I'm a Catholic from Indonesia.

I like TIA article about Lay Celibacy.

Are there other resources that I can learn about Lay Celibacy? Thanks.

     Ave Maria,

TIA responds:

Greetings A.P.,

Thank you for your support.

Yes, there is not just one article, as you mentioned. There is a whole series of articles that you can read here.

Also, you may read several texts of Popes and Saints affirming the preeminence of lay celibacy over marriage here, here, here, here, here and here.

Disinformation Campaign

TIA,

Now Trump will be inaugurated on July 4...

A Requiem for Q-Anon

So what is the Qsters’ current claim? Trump will resume his presidency; OK, that’s an easy sell, as 90 million of people or more want this to be true. But note how the Q promoters keep moving the goal posts for Trump’s 2021 inauguration: from January 20th to March 4th to July 4, 2021. Hmmm…

And how is this to happen, please tell? With the assistance of…wait for it… JFK Jr., who didn’t really die when his plane crashed two decades ago.

Again, I am not making this up. My imagination is just not that fertile.

A word about Simon Parkes before we move on: Mr. Parkes claims he was abducted by aliens, knows some of them quite intimately, and believes in lizard people among other alien life forms. Interestingly, none of this has lowered his credibility with his followers, but they did give him flack for claiming to have spoken to the real “Q”. This they found to be beyond belief, so he had to back-pedal. Apparently, no one gets to talk to the man behind the curtain.

TIA,

We are in deep trouble and it's worse than we think.

Talk of Resignation

Hello TIA,

Just a piece of curious news for your information: Pope Francis is hinting at his own resignation.

We don't know whether he is serious, making a new Jesuit trap or just spontaneously letting loose one of his many clownish sayings with no other purpose than to make people laugh.

     P.M.M.

‘Pope Francis or John XXIV?’
Loup Besmond de Seneville

May 31, 2021 – Pope Francis uttered a cryptic comment a few weeks ago during a closed-door meeting with a foreign head of state that has revived speculation about the future of his pontificate.

Like many world leaders, the dignitary invited Francis to visit his country within the next two years.

The pope allegedly smiled and said, "Why not? But if I accept, I don't know who will come -- Francis or John XXIV."

It was a subtle way of saying that, first of all, he's not going to live forever. And, secondly, the commitments he makes today will be kept by his successor.

That means everything -- from papal trips to substantive issues -- will be the legacy of the next pope, whether his name is John XXIV, Pius XIII or John Paul III.

"Migrants, attention to the poor and the environment have been put on the table by Francis. His successor will not be able to leave them off the table," said one informed observer.

In fact, the question of Francis' possible retirement is one of the many rumors that's been constantly whispered in Vatican corridors these past eight years. ...

But no one really knows what the pope is truly thinking about this matter. For now, everything is just speculation.
