Hard to Watch

TIA,

Re: Dancing DJ Bishop at Youth Day in Brazil

Sad. It is very hard to watch these churchmen nowadays.

May Our Lady's Immaculate Heart triumph quickly.

SPLC Rebutted

Hi,

I am working on a story about the SPLC. Are you aware that they list you as a hate group?

TIA responds:

Hello N.C.,

Thank you for the notice.

We were aware of the attack shortly after it was made. Some days after that publication, our web editor Atila Guimarães wrote a rebuttal which you can read here.

Spanish Guitar

Good evening TIA,

Salve Maria!

Ever since reading about music on your site, I have abandoned modern music and now look to the past. I stay mostly in the realm of classical and folk music. I recently started discovering classical guitar and it is amazing how much you feel the Spanish dynamism in these songs and it has given me an appreciation for the differences in music.

The Irish use a flute and you cannot help hearing the winds and the cold of their ancient isle.

The Mexicans use a trumpet and you feel the warmth and joy of their festivals and unity.

When you hear Recuerdos de la Alhambra... you have a longing for a place you've never been to. You see the slow sun rising over warm fields, the years of the Reconquista's toll on the people, and the spirit of sacrifice that is uniquely theirs.

In my discovery of classical guitar, I found a "child prodigy" and the song she played was so horrendous it reminded me that not all classical music is inherently good. In contrast to Recuerdos, her song was erratic and void of beauty despite the incredible talent. I credit you, TIA, for waking me up and giving me the clarity necessary to identify the piercing effects music has on all of us.

I pray more souls discover the seriousness of music.

     In Jesu et Maria,

     N.B.

‘Pride’ Mass in Syracuse

Dear TIA,

Pride Mass in a Catholic Church: Watch it here.

All Saints in Syracuse NY begins its “Pride Mass” by bowing down in front of a pride flag placed over the cross, saying “Namaste,” and calling the pride rainbow a “beautiful symbol of God’s diversity,” and gays a sign of God’s “creativity.”

Then AOC - Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, an American politician and activist who has served since 2019 as the U.S. representative for New York's 14th Congressional District - takes the pulpit to preach inclusion of LGBT and welcome of our immigrant “brothers and sisters.”

Deepest Affinity

Dear TIA,

Pope Leo XIV wrote to the rabbi of Rome to wish him and “the entire beloved Jewish community of Rome” “abundant blessings from the Most High.”

Unfortunately, the Vicar of Christ “forgot” that there is no grace unless through the Redemption of Jesus Christ, whom the Jews abhor. They killed Our Lord then, and they renew that killing very often in their ceremonies, as everyone knows.

My question is: When a Pope is ashamed to mention Christ to the Jews, is he not killing Him again? If so, we would understand the straight links he has with the Judaism. One killed Him physically 2000 years ago; the other is killing Him spiritually every single day now.

Birds of feather flock together…

Read the news below.

Leo XIV prays for “mutual friendship” with Jews  Vatican InSight
Anna Kurian

In a telegram to the Chief Rabbi of Rome made public on September 11, 2026, Pope Leo XIV prays that Jews and Christians may grow “in mutual friendship.” As he did last year, the Pope sent his wishes to Dr. Riccardo Di Segni on the eve of the autumn holidays of the Jewish calendar.

In his message, Pope Leo XIV expresses his hope that “these occasions may be a source of abundant blessings from the Most High” for the “entire beloved Jewish community of Rome.” Jews around the world are preparing to celebrate Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) from September 11 to 13, Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) from September 20 to 21, and Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles) from September 25 to October 2.

Muddy Wellingtons

Dear TIA,

Ave Maria Purissima!

The attached advertisement for Dunlop wellingtons is from the 1950s and a different age. A family comprising mother and three children all donned their wellingtons to remain dry in wet conditions. Even father has rubber overshoes at his disposal. The little infant probably wearing her wellingtons for the first time seems about to jump in a puddle.

wellingtons'
This reminded me of my trips walking to school with my friends from the area. Two girls had little infant sisters, one of whom had just started school in junior infants the week before. Wearing her new wellingtons for the first time, hers were black, she ran up to a puddle and jumped in before her older sisters could forbid her. Muddy water splashed on her shiny boots but worse still splashed on her school uniform, her coat and her gymslip.

We knew this was going to be a problem so we hastened to school as quick as the little legs of the infants would allow. We are able to clean her boots quickly but the more we rubbed her gymslip the worse it seemed to get and on top of this, her white socks were also now dirty. There was no way she would pass inspection and we knew Sister Athanatius was a stickler for order and discipline. …

That day that little infant learned a valuable lesson. A lesson learned with corporal punishment that was never forgotten.

God bless you all. I enjoyed the work of Miss Salwa in exposing Fulton Sheen.

     Yours sincerely,

     C.P., Ireland
