Arch. Scicluna celebrates LGBT Mass in Malta
Msgr. Charles Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta, has often been chosen by Pope Francis to be his representative as arbiter of justice in cases of sexual abuse of priests that involve Bishops. He was, for example, sent to Chile for this purpose in 2018 and 2019. Scicluna is also adjunct secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith at the Vatican. The Catholic public naturally supposed that this papal choice was made because Scicluna was a man very rigorous regarding Catholic Morals. This presupposition, unfortunately was false. Scicluna is a full supporter of LGBT organizations.
Indeed, on September 17, 2024, he celebrated a Mass for the 20th anniversary of Drachma, one of the homosexual organizations of Malta. The photos on this page were mostly taken from that Mass.
Already in 2015 the Archbishop of Malta had praised a priest who had blessed a homosexual "couple," and in 2022 he publicly condemned and threatened to place a canonical sanction on a priest who criticized homosexuality and was teaching the traditional doctrine of the Catholic Church on this topic.
Above and below first row, the Archbishop during the sermon and consecration at that Mass; second and fifth rows, greeting members of Drachma; third and fourth rows, LGBT persons speaking from the podium during the Mass; sixth row, painter Ellie Adella, one of the speakers who offered a painting to Drachma; last row, two of the paintings of that artist...
