WHEN THE INSTINCT OF CONSERVATION DIES - The famous "leak" reporting that the Supreme Court was on the brink of abrogating its Roe vs Wade decision, which almost 50 years ago legalized abortion in the United States, brought a new momentum to the fight for and against it.

Pro-lifers are gratified to see a victory at hand after their decades-long battle. Symmetrically, pro-choice partisans are counter-attacking radically at the prospect of seeing their “right” to abortion, which they considered a consummated fact, sliding through their fingers like sand.

Joining the polemic was the Archbishop of San Francisco Salvatore Cordileone, who launched an exemplary condemnation against Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, one of the sheep of his flock, for her scandalous promotion of abortion. Cordileone barred Pelosi from receiving Communion until she publicly retracts from her position and makes due penance.

His text reads:

"By means of this communication I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance." (original here)

To this condemnation Pelosi replied indirectly in a TV interview, sophistically accusing the Archbishop of being against LGBT and inconsistent because he does not deny Communion to those who are pro death penalty. She also accused him of politicizing the Eucharist.

Nancy Pelosi answer to Archbishop Cordileone

Pelosi answers with sophistic allegations

The first allegation is a dirty game tactic, trying to change the focus of the topic being discussed by making a condemnation by association. Indeed, the matter of being against homosexuality has nothing to do with abortion. Her attempt was to put the pro-LGBT TV audience on her side, as if to say: "See this monster attacking me, he is also against LGBT." It is a dirty intellectual ploy worthy of Pelosi.

Her second allegation – Cordileone is inconsistent because he does not deny Communion to those who defend the death penalty – reveals that Pelosi is grossly ignorant of Catholic Doctrine. The death penalty exists to protect society from criminals who harm it; abortion is a crime in itself that consists in murdering an innocent person. Catholic Doctrine is perfectly consistent in approving the death penalty and condemning abortion. The Speaker of the House would benefit from having read her Catechism with a little more attention. Her position is not Catholic and favors the criminal in both cases.

The third allegation – Cordileone is politicizing the Eucharist – is to throw sand in the eyes of the audience. Again, this has nothing to do with abortion. It is the same dirty game she always plays.

This episode, which has caused the mainstream media to blare its trumpets against the Archbishop of San Francisco, is nothing but a proof that the topic of abortion is getting hotter.

In the social media also, opinions on abortion are heated.

A young friend who has more than 10,000 followers on her Instagram account sent me a screenshot showing the surprising number of millennials who are complaining about the fact that they were not aborted.

Yes, it is a kind of suicidal tendency in the newest generation that has an intensity I had not realized.

I will reproduce the message and the screenshot I received before making other commentaries.

TIA,

In response to the Roe v. Wade leak, hundreds of pro-abortion youth have been tweeting that they wish they were aborted, they love abortion.

Young adults, even teenagers, often joke (but really are serious) about wishing they were dead, so of course they wish they were aborted. So many of my peers are suicidal and do not seem to have an aversion to death at all. What times we are in!

Kyrie Eleison...

Suicidal millennials

I confess that I was surprised at both the "sincerity" and the "naturality" with which these declarations were made.

They reveal that something much more profound than abortion is at stake. Abortion still presupposes that life is a gift and that all of us want to be alive. Here, we go deeper: These youth do not want to be alive; they are anxious to disappear.

Someone might say: "But they will go to Hell if they are not Catholics and do not receive the Sacraments." I agree with this statement. I wish they were open to God and the Catholic Faith. But, many of these youth are ignorant of the very existence of God; on the practical level they are atheists who only weigh their own personal advantages and enjoyments they can have. Since life causes them some suffering, they do not see a reason to continue to exist: thus they regret not being aborted.

This annihilation of the instinct of conservation, which is the most elementary instinct of every living being, is a landmark occurrence in History, in my opinion.

The ideal of Buddhism is to destroy all matter, which is considered evil; the ideal of Nihilism is to achieve the state of nothingness for an analogous reason; the ideal of Gnosis is to become entirely spiritual and be reintegrated into the original undeterminate Pan because all of material creation is considered a great disaster.

To attain these false ideals, many bad people spent a great deal of time, effort and material means. Just an example: For five centuries – since the Renaissance and Humanism until our days – the Revolution has endeavored to replace Christian Civilization and the Catholic Church with a Gnostic world and a Gnostic culture.

Now, this last step of the Revolution suddenly appears inside the souls of the youth as a kind of "spontaneous generation"... Actually, it has little of the spontaneous. It was the planned product of radio, television, movies, Internet and mass communication. All these "new technologies" were meant to produce this nefarious effect: the death of the instinct of conservation.

What happens when this instinct dies? It is a suicidal society that appears on the horizon. If persons in this state of despair do not commit suicide, they live like zombies, walking bodies with empty souls moved by external stimulus.

This is the parcel of human population that is already prepared to blindly obey universal dictators, to receive in their bodies the implants of transhumanism and even to accept possible "benefits" extra-terrestrials may bring to "help" mankind.
